Client Server Architecture

The main benefit from having a client/server architecture is that the number of client computers can increase on the network and not have to deal with the hardware/software communication issues with each client computer, but only with the server computer thus improving efficiency in data communications.  The PATHbase™ application, database & reports will reside on the server and client/users can be distributed between the Accounts, Front Desk, Pathologists within Laboratory etc.  There are 5 differential levels of user access which allows for restricted views and operations depending on their privileges and this is determined by the System Administrators.
